Find my shade

Four skin tones, three classics. This is the short version of how to pick.

Start with the shirt, not the skin

A skin-tone vest earns its place under anything thin and light — a white kameez, a pale dress shirt, a fine cotton kurta. Under a dark shirt it makes no difference at all, so a classic is the better buy there.

Match to your chest, not your face

Most men are a shade or two lighter on the chest than on the face and forearms, which catch the sun. Hold your arm across your chest in daylight and match to the lighter of the two. A vest slightly lighter than your skin disappears. One that is too dark reads as a shadow through a white shirt.

The four skin tones

  • Fair — for light complexions that redden rather than tan.
  • Wheatish — the most common Pakistani tone, and our best seller. Start here if you are unsure.
  • Medium — for tan and olive complexions.
  • Deep — for deep and rich complexions.

The three classics

White for when nothing is going over it. Grey and black under darker shirts, where a skin tone would do nothing.

Still not sure?

Take Wheatish. It sits closest to the middle of the range and is the shade most of our customers settle on. If it is not right, exchange it within 7 days.
